“Perceptions of Religiously-Based Discrimination by Christian Students at a Public Versus Private University”
Concerns about antagonism and potential prejudice toward Christian students on university campuses have received increased attention in recent years. However, there is a dearth of literature that chronicles the actual experiences of these students. Christopher Rosik, Ph.D., psychologist at Link Care and clinical faculty at Fresno Pacific University, will present findings from his study of Fresno State and Fresno Pacific undergraduate students. Their perceptions of religiously-based discrimination and prejudice will be outlined and implications of the results will be discussed. An opportunity for group interaction will conclude the meeting.
We will meet on Tuesday, February 12, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the conference center at the Link Care Center (1734 W. Shaw). Turn off Shaw onto Channing Court just east of the Shaw and West intersection, near Denny’s restaurant. Drive approximately 100 yards back on Channing Court through the entrance to Link Care. The conference center building is on the right just past the carport. Light refreshments will be provided.
